Job 6:21For now you are of no help; you see terror, and you are afraid.Job 6:22Have I ever said, ‘Give me something; offer me a bribe from your wealth;Job 6:23deliver me from the hand of the enemy; redeem me from the grasp of the ruthless’?Job 6:24Teach me, and I will be silent. If it is not He, then who is it?Job 9:25My days are swifter than a runner; they flee without seeing good.Job 9:26They sweep by like boats of papyrus, like an eagle swooping down on its prey.Job 9:27If I were to say, ‘I will forget my complaint and change my expression and smile,’Job 9:28I would still dread all my sufferings; I know that You will not acquit me.Job 9:29Since I am already found guilty, why should I labor in vain?Job 9:30If I should wash myself with snow and cleanse my hands with lye,Job 9:31then You would plunge me into the pit, and even my own clothes would despise me.Job 9:32For He is not a man like me, that I can answer Him, that we can take each other to court.Job 9:33Nor is there a mediator between us, to lay his hand upon us both.Job 9:34Let Him remove His rod from me, so that His terror will no longer frighten me.Job 9:35Then I would speak without fear of Him. But as it is, I am on my own.Job 10:2I will say to God: Do not condemn me! Let me know why You prosecute me.Job 10:8Your hands shaped me and altogether formed me. Would You now turn and destroy me?Job 10:9Please remember that You molded me like clay. Would You now return me to dust?Job 10:15If I am guilty, woe to me! And even if I am righteous, I cannot lift my head. The deceived and the deceiver are His.Job 12:17He leads counselors away barefoot and makes fools of judges.Job 12:18He loosens the bonds placed by kings and fastens a belt around their waists.Job 12:19He leads priests away barefoot and overthrows the established.Job 12:20He deprives the trusted of speech and takes away the discernment of elders.Job 12:21He pours out contempt on nobles and disarms the mighty.Job 12:22He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into light.Job 12:23He makes nations great and destroys them; He enlarges nations, then disperses them.Job 12:24He deprives the earth’s leaders of reason and makes them wander in a trackless wasteland.Job 12:25They grope in the darkness without light; He makes them stagger like drunkards.Job 13:15Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. I will still defend my ways to His face.Job 13:21Withdraw Your hand from me, and do not let Your terror frighten me.
