Gospel
Jesus uses “born again” in John 3 for spiritual life that comes from God. It is not merely becoming more religious or improving public behavior. Christian conversion includes grace, repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, forgiveness, and the beginning of a changed life.
Read the answer →The New Testament presents salvation as God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. Christians are called to repent and believe the gospel. Good works matter deeply, but they do not purchase forgiveness.
Read the answer →Biblical repentance is a real turning toward God. It includes recognizing sin, no longer defending it, and changing direction. Regret can be part of repentance, but feeling terrible by itself is not the same thing as turning.
Read the answer →Jesus
The New Testament presents Jesus as Messiah, Son of God, Lord, truly human, and uniquely identified with God. His death for sins and resurrection stand at the center of the gospel.
Read the answer →The New Testament describes the cross in several complementary ways: Christ dies for sins, bears sin, reconciles people to God, defeats hostile powers, demonstrates God’s love, and gives Himself as a ransom.
Read the answer →Christianity does not treat the resurrection as an optional symbol. The earliest Christian proclamation says Jesus was raised, appeared to witnesses, and that Christian faith and future resurrection depend on it.

Bible
Christians receive the Bible as Scripture and therefore as authoritative for faith and life. Trusting Scripture should lead to more careful reading, not less: context, genre, history, translation, manuscript evidence, and the whole biblical witness matter.
Read the answer →Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek do not map word-for-word into modern English. Translation teams therefore make different decisions about wording, style, readability, and textual evidence. More than one responsible translation can faithfully communicate the source text.
Read the answer →Start with the passage around the verse. Ask who is speaking, to whom, in what situation, in what literary form, and what comes before and after. Then compare your conclusion with the rest of Scripture.
Read the answer →Prayer
Jesus teaches prayer as honest relationship with God, not performance for an audience. Christian prayer includes worship, confession, thanksgiving, requests, intercession, and submission to God’s will. You do not need impressive vocabulary.
Read the answer →The Bible does not promise that faithful prayer gives us control over outcomes. Scripture includes answered prayer, delayed answers, changed requests, suffering that remains, and faithful people who continue trusting God without receiving the result they wanted.
Read the answer →Church
Baptism is a commanded Christian practice associated in the New Testament with discipleship, repentance, faith, union with Christ, entry into Christian community, and public identification with Jesus. It should not be treated as meaningless.
Read the answer →Online resources can help you learn, but the New Testament describes Christianity as embodied community: teaching, fellowship, prayer, worship, correction, service, shared burdens, leadership, and the Lord’s Supper happen among people who actually know one another.
Read the answer →Look for a church where Scripture is handled carefully, Jesus is central, leaders are accountable and morally serious, money is handled transparently, questions are allowed, abuse is not protected, and members are encouraged to grow and serve rather than orbit a personality.
Read the answer →Life
Christian forgiveness means releasing personal vengeance and responding from the mercy we ourselves have received. It does not automatically erase consequences, recreate trust, remove boundaries, or require a person to remain in danger.
Read the answer →The Bible does not offer one shallow explanation for every form of suffering. It speaks of a broken world, human evil, consequences, persecution, discipline, mystery, lament, endurance, God’s presence, and future hope. Jesus Himself wept and suffered.
Read the answer →The Bible contains honest questions, lament, confusion, requests for evidence, and the prayer “I believe; help my unbelief.” Doubt can become destructive when used only to avoid truth, but honest questions are not automatically rebellion.
