Isaiah 32:5No longer will a fool be called noble, nor a scoundrel be respected.Isaiah 32:6For a fool speaks foolishness; his mind plots iniquity. He practices ungodliness and speaks falsely about the LORD; he leaves the hungry empty and deprives the thirsty of drink.Isaiah 32:7The weapons of the scoundrel are destructive; he hatches plots to destroy the poor with lies, even when the plea of the needy is just.Isaiah 32:8But a noble man makes honorable plans; he stands up for worthy causes.Isaiah 32:9Stand up, you complacent women; listen to me. Give ear to my word, you overconfident daughters.Isaiah 32:10In a little more than a year you will tremble, O secure ones. For the grape harvest will fail and the fruit harvest will not arrive.Isaiah 32:11Shudder, you ladies of leisure; tremble, you daughters of complacency. Strip yourselves bare and put sackcloth around your waists.Isaiah 32:12Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vines,Isaiah 32:13and for the land of my people, overgrown with thorns and briers—even for every house of merriment in this city of revelry.Isaiah 32:14For the palace will be forsaken, the busy city abandoned. The hill and the watchtower will become caves forever—the delight of wild donkeys and a pasture for flocks—Isaiah 32:15until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high. Then the desert will be an orchard, and the orchard will seem like a forest.Isaiah 32:16Then justice will inhabit the wilderness, and righteousness will dwell in the fertile field.Isaiah 32:17The work of righteousness will be peace; the service of righteousness will be quiet confidence forever.Isaiah 32:18Then my people will dwell in a peaceful place, in safe and secure places of rest.Isaiah 32:19But hail will level the forest, and the city will sink to the depths.Isaiah 32:20Blessed are those who sow beside abundant waters, who let the ox and donkey range freely.Isaiah 33:5The LORD is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness.Isaiah 33:13You who are far off, hear what I have done; you who are near, acknowledge My might.”Isaiah 33:14The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling grips the ungodly: “Who of us can dwell with a consuming fire? Where is he who weighs? Where is he who counts the towers?”Isaiah 33:19You will no longer see the insolent, a people whose speech is unintelligible, who stammer in a language you cannot understand.Isaiah 33:20Look upon Zion, the city of our appointed feasts. Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful pasture, a tent that does not wander; its tent pegs will not be pulled up, nor will any of its cords be broken.Isaiah 33:21But there the Majestic One, our LORD, will be for us a place of rivers and wide canals, where no galley with oars will row, and no majestic vessel will pass.Isaiah 33:22For the LORD is our Judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our King. It is He who will save us.Isaiah 33:23Your ropes are slack; they cannot secure the mast or spread the sail. Then an abundance of spoils will be divided, and even the lame will carry off plunder.Isaiah 33:24And no resident of Zion will say, “I am sick.” The people who dwell there will be forgiven of iniquity.Isaiah 35:1The wilderness and the dry land will be glad; the desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose.Isaiah 35:2It will bloom profusely and rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God.Isaiah 35:3Strengthen the limp hands and steady the feeble knees!Isaiah 35:4Say to those with anxious hearts: “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance. With divine retribution He will come to save you.”Isaiah 35:5Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.Isaiah 35:6Then the lame will leap like a deer and the mute tongue will shout for joy. For waters will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.Isaiah 35:7The parched ground will become a pool, the thirsty land springs of water. In the haunt where jackals once lay, there will be grass and reeds and papyrus.Isaiah 35:8And there will be a highway called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not travel it—only those who walk in the Way—and fools will not stray onto it.Isaiah 35:9No lion will be there, and no vicious beast will go up on it. Such will not be found there, but the redeemed will walk upon it.Isaiah 35:10So the redeemed of the LORD will return and enter Zion with singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee.Isaiah 37:14So Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers, read it, and went up to the house of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD.Isaiah 40:4Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill made low; the uneven ground will become smooth, and the rugged land a plain.Isaiah 40:5And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all humanity together will see it.” For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.Isaiah 40:6A voice says, “Cry out!” And I asked, “What should I cry out?” “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flowers of the field.Isaiah 40:7The grass withers and the flowers fall when the breath of the LORD blows on them; indeed, the people are grass.Isaiah 40:8The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.”Isaiah 40:9Go up on a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news. Raise your voice loudly, O Jerusalem, herald of good news. Lift it up, do not be afraid! Say to the cities of Judah, “Here is your God!”Isaiah 40:10Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and His arm establishes His rule. His reward is with Him, and His recompense accompanies Him.Isaiah 40:11He tends His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart. He gently leads the nursing ewes.Isaiah 41:17The poor and needy seek water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. I, the LORD, will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.Isaiah 41:18I will open rivers on the barren heights, and fountains in the middle of the valleys. I will turn the desert into a pool of water, and the dry land into flowing springs.Isaiah 41:19I will plant cedars in the wilderness, acacias, myrtles, and olive trees. I will set cypresses in the desert, elms and boxwood together,Isaiah 41:20so that all may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the LORD has done this and the Holy One of Israel has created it.”Isaiah 42:1“Here is My Servant, whom I uphold, My Chosen One, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will bring justice to the nations.Isaiah 42:2He will not cry out or raise His voice, nor make His voice heard in the streets.Isaiah 42:3A bruised reed He will not break and a smoldering wick He will not extinguish; He will faithfully bring forth justice.Isaiah 42:4He will not grow weak or discouraged before He has established justice on the earth. In His law the islands will put their hope.”Isaiah 42:5This is what God the LORD says—He who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and its offspring, who gives breath to the people on it and life to those who walk in it:Isaiah 42:6“I, the LORD, have called you for a righteous purpose, and I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and appoint you to be a covenant for the people and a light to the nations,Isaiah 42:7to open the eyes of the blind, to bring prisoners out of the dungeon and those sitting in darkness out from the prison house.Isaiah 42:8I am the LORD; that is My name! I will not yield My glory to another or My praise to idols.
