He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound;Isaiah 61:2to proclaim the year of Yahweh’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;Isaiah 61:3to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that he may be glorified.Isaiah 61:4They shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.Isaiah 61:5Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and foreigners shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.Isaiah 61:6But you shall be named the priests of Yahweh; men will call you the ministers of our God: you will eat the wealth of the nations, and you will boast in their glory.Isaiah 61:7Instead of your shame you shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be to them.Isaiah 61:8“For I, Yahweh, love justice, I hate robbery with iniquity; and I will give them their recompense in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.Isaiah 61:9Their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which Yahweh has blessed.”Isaiah 61:10I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.Isaiah 61:11For as the earth brings forth its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord Yahweh will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.Isaiah 62:1For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns.Isaiah 62:2The nations shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory, and you shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of Yahweh shall name.Isaiah 62:3You shall also be a crown of beauty in the hand of Yahweh, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.Isaiah 62:4You shall no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall your land any more be termed Desolate: but you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for Yahweh delights in you, and your land shall be married.Isaiah 62:5For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons shall marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so your God will rejoice over you.Isaiah 62:6I have set watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: you who call on Yahweh, take no rest,Isaiah 62:7and give him no rest, until he establishes, and until he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.Isaiah 62:8Yahweh has sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, “Surely I will no more give your grain to be food for your enemies; and foreigners shall not drink your new wine, for which you have labored:Isaiah 62:9but those who have garnered it shall eat it, and praise Yahweh; and those who have gathered it shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.”Isaiah 62:10Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way of the people! Cast up, cast up the highway! Gather out the stones! These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burns all the day.Isaiah 65:6“Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, yes, I will recompense into their bosom,Isaiah 65:7your own iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together,” says Yahweh, “who have burned incense on the mountains, and blasphemed me on the hills; therefore will I first measure their work into their bosom.”Isaiah 65:8Thus says Yahweh, “As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, ‘Don’t destroy it, for a blessing is in it:’ so will I do for my servants’ sake, that I may not destroy them all.Isaiah 65:9I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains; and my chosen shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.Isaiah 65:10Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for herds to lie down in, for my people who have sought me.Isaiah 65:11“But you who forsake Yahweh, who forget my holy mountain, who prepare a table for Fortune, and who fill up mixed wine to Destiny;Isaiah 65:12I will destine you to the sword, and you shall all bow down to the slaughter; because when I called, you didn’t answer; when I spoke, you didn’t listen; but you did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I didn’t delight.”
