They are delivered into your hand.Genesis 9:3Everything that lives and moves will be food for you; just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you all things.Genesis 9:4But you must not eat meat with its lifeblood still in it.Genesis 9:5And surely I will require the life of any man or beast by whose hand your lifeblood is shed. I will demand an accounting from anyone who takes the life of his fellow man:Genesis 9:6Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man his blood will be shed; for in His own image God has made mankind.Genesis 9:7But as for you, be fruitful and multiply; spread out across the earth and multiply upon it.”Genesis 9:8Then God said to Noah and his sons with him,Genesis 9:9“Behold, I now establish My covenant with you and your descendants after you,Genesis 9:10and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth—every living thing that came out of the ark.Genesis 9:11And I establish My covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”Genesis 9:12And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:Genesis 9:13I have set My rainbow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.Genesis 9:14Whenever I form clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,Genesis 9:15I will remember My covenant between Me and you and every living creature of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.Genesis 9:16And whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of every kind that is on the earth.”Genesis 9:17So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between Me and every creature on the earth.”Genesis 12:1Then the LORD said to Abram, “Leave your country, your kindred, and your father’s household, and go to the land I will show you.Genesis 12:2I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.Genesis 12:3I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; and all the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”Genesis 15:9And the LORD said to him, “Bring Me a heifer, a goat, and a ram, each three years old, along with a turtledove and a young pigeon.”Genesis 15:10So Abram brought all these to Him, split each of them down the middle, and laid the halves opposite each other. The birds, however, he did not cut in half.Genesis 15:11And the birds of prey descended on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away.Genesis 15:12As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and suddenly great terror and darkness overwhelmed him.Genesis 15:13Then the LORD said to Abram, “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years.Genesis 15:14But I will judge the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will depart with many possessions.Genesis 15:15You, however, will go to your fathers in peace and be buried at a ripe old age.Genesis 15:16In the fourth generation your descendants will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”Genesis 15:17When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, behold, a smoking firepot and a flaming torch appeared and passed between the halves of the carcasses.Genesis 17:1When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty. Walk before Me and be blameless.Genesis 17:2I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and I will multiply you exceedingly.”Genesis 17:3Then Abram fell facedown, and God said to him,Genesis 17:4“As for Me, this is My covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations.Genesis 17:5No longer will you be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations.Genesis 17:6I will make you exceedingly fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will descend from you.Genesis 17:7I will establish My covenant as an everlasting covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.Genesis 17:8And to you and your descendants I will give the land where you are residing—all the land of Canaan—as an eternal possession; and I will be their God.”Genesis 17:9God also said to Abraham, “You must keep My covenant—you and your descendants in the generations after you.Genesis 17:10This is My covenant with you and your descendants after you, which you are to keep: Every male among you must be circumcised.Genesis 17:11You are to circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, and this will be a sign of the covenant between Me and you.Genesis 17:12Generation after generation, every male must be circumcised when he is eight days old, including those born in your household and those purchased from a foreigner—even those who are not your offspring.Genesis 17:13Whether they are born in your household or purchased, they must be circumcised. My covenant in your flesh will be an everlasting covenant.Genesis 17:14But if any male is not circumcised, he will be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.”Genesis 17:15Then God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, do not call her Sarai, for her name is to be Sarah.Genesis 17:16And I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her, and she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will descend from her.”Genesis 17:17Abraham fell facedown. Then he laughed and said to himself, “Can a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Can Sarah give birth at the age of ninety?”Genesis 17:18And Abraham said to God, “O that Ishmael might live under Your blessing!”Genesis 17:19But God replied, “Your wife Sarah will indeed bear you a son, and you are to name him Isaac. I will establish My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.Genesis 17:20As for Ishmael, I have heard you, and I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and multiply him greatly. He will become the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation.Genesis 17:21But I will establish My covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this time next year.”Genesis 17:22When He had finished speaking with Abraham, God went up from him.Genesis 21:22At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army said to Abraham, “God is with you in all that you do.Genesis 21:23Now, therefore, swear to me here before God that you will not deal falsely with me or my children or descendants. Show to me and to the country in which you reside the same kindness that I have shown to you.”Genesis 21:24And Abraham replied, “I swear it.”
