1 Samuel 23:12So David asked, “Will the citizens of Keilah surrender me and my men into the hand of Saul?” “They will,” said the LORD.1 Samuel 24:12May the LORD judge between you and me, and may the LORD take vengeance on you, but my hand will never be against you.1 Samuel 24:15May the LORD be our judge and decide between you and me. I have succeeded my father David, and I sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised. I have built the house for the Name of the LORD, the God of Israel.1 Kings 8:23and said: “O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like You in heaven above or on earth below, keeping Your covenant of loving devotion with Your servants who walk before You with all their hearts.1 Kings 8:24You have kept Your promise to Your servant, my father David. What You spoke with Your mouth You have fulfilled with Your hand this day.1 Kings 8:27But will God indeed dwell upon the earth? The heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain You, much less this temple I have built.1 Kings 8:32then may You hear from heaven and act. May You judge Your servants, condemning the wicked man by bringing down on his own head what he has done, and justifying the righteous man by rewarding him according to his righteousness.1 Kings 8:39be heard by You from heaven, Your dwelling place. There is no other!1 Kings 9:2the LORD appeared to him a second time, as He had appeared to him at Gibeon.1 Kings 9:4And as for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, with a heart of integrity and uprightness, doing all I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and ordinances,1 Kings 9:5then I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised your father David when I said, ‘You will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’1 Kings 11:9Now the LORD grew angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from the LORD, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice.1 Kings 11:14Then the LORD raised up against Solomon an adversary, Hadad the Edomite, from the royal line of Edom.1 Kings 11:15Earlier, when David was in Edom, Joab the commander of the army had gone to bury the dead and had struck down every male in Edom.1 Kings 11:16Joab and all Israel had stayed there six months, until he had killed every male in Edom.1 Kings 11:17But Hadad, still just a young boy, had fled to Egypt, along with some Edomites who were servants of his father.1 Kings 11:18Hadad and his men set out from Midian and went to Paran. They took men from Paran with them and went to Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt, who gave Hadad a house and land and provided him with food.1 Kings 11:19There Hadad found such great favor in the sight of Pharaoh that he gave to him in marriage the sister of Queen Tahpenes, his own wife.1 Kings 11:20And the sister of Tahpenes bore Hadad a son named Genubath. Tahpenes herself weaned him in Pharaoh’s palace, and Genubath lived there among the sons of Pharaoh.
