Make me like one of your hired servants.”’Luke 15:20So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still in the distance, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.Luke 15:21The son declared, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’Luke 15:22But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.Luke 15:23Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let us feast and celebrate.Luke 15:24For this son of mine was dead and is alive again! He was lost and is found!’ So they began to celebrate.Luke 15:25Meanwhile the older son was in the field, and as he approached the house, he heard music and dancing.Luke 15:26So he called one of the servants and asked what was going on.Luke 15:27‘Your brother has returned,’ he said, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has him back safe and sound.’Luke 16:15So He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. But the tenants beat the servant and sent him away empty-handed.Luke 20:11So he sent another servant, but they beat him and treated him shamefully, sending him away empty-handed.Luke 20:12Then he sent a third, but they wounded him and threw him out.Luke 20:13‘What shall I do?’ asked the owner of the vineyard. ‘I will send my beloved son. Perhaps they will respect him.’Luke 20:14But when the tenants saw the son, they discussed it among themselves and said, ‘This is the heir. Let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’Luke 20:15So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?Luke 20:16He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” And when the people heard this, they said, “May such a thing never happen!”Luke 21:18Yet not even a hair of your head will perish.Luke 22:29And I bestow on you a kingdom, just as My Father has bestowed one on Me,Luke 22:35Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you out without purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” “Nothing,” they answered.Luke 23:46Then Jesus called out in a loud voice, “Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit.” And when He had said this, He breathed His last.Luke 24:49And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. Not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He was even calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.
