She has kept this for the day of my burial.John 12:8For you always have the poor with you, but you don’t always have me.”John 12:9A large crowd therefore of the Jews learned that he was there, and they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.John 12:12On the next day a great multitude had come to the feast. When they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,John 12:13they took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet him, and cried out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel!”John 12:14Jesus, having found a young donkey, sat on it. As it is written,John 12:15“Don’t be afraid, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a donkey’s colt.”John 12:16His disciples didn’t understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about him, and that they had done these things to him.John 12:17The multitude therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, was testifying about it.John 12:18For this cause also the multitude went and met him, because they heard that he had done this sign.John 12:19The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, “See how you accomplish nothing. Behold, the world has gone after him.”John 12:24Most certainly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.John 12:27“Now my soul is troubled. He took a towel, and wrapped a towel around his waist.John 13:5Then he poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.John 13:6Then he came to Simon Peter. He said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?”John 13:7Jesus answered him, “You don’t know what I am doing now, but you will understand later.”John 13:8Peter said to him, “You will never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I don’t wash you, you have no part with me.”John 13:9Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!”John 13:10Jesus said to him, “Someone who has bathed only needs to have his feet washed, but is completely clean. You are clean, but not all of you.”John 13:11For he knew him who would betray him, therefore he said, “You are not all clean.”John 13:12So when he had washed their feet, put his outer garment back on, and sat down again, he said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?John 13:13You call me, ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord.’ You say so correctly, for so I am.John 13:14If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.John 13:15For I have given you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you.John 13:16Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither one who is sent greater than he who sent him.John 13:17If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.John 13:18I don’t speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen. But that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.’
