Ezra 8:25and I weighed out to them the contribution of silver and gold and the articles that the king, his counselors, his leaders, and all the Israelites there had offered for the house of our God.Ezra 8:26I weighed out into their hands 650 talents of silver, articles of silver weighing 100 talents, 100 talents of gold,Ezra 8:2720 gold bowls valued at 1,000 darics, and two articles of fine polished bronze, as precious as gold.Ezra 8:28Then I told them, “You are holy to the LORD, and these articles are holy. The silver and gold are a freewill offering to the LORD, the God of your fathers.Ezra 8:29Guard them carefully until you weigh them out in the chambers of the house of the LORD in Jerusalem before the leading priests, Levites, and heads of the Israelite families.”Ezra 8:30So the priests and Levites took charge of the silver and gold and sacred articles that had been weighed out to be taken to the house of our God in Jerusalem.Ezra 8:31On the twelfth day of the first month we set out from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem, and the hand of our God was upon us to protect us from the hands of the enemies and bandits along the way.Ezra 8:32So we arrived at Jerusalem and rested there for three days.Ezra 8:33On the fourth day, in the house of our God, we weighed out the silver and gold and sacred articles into the hand of Meremoth son of Uriah, the priest. The governor gave to the treasury 1,000 darics of gold, 50 bowls, and 530 priestly garments.Nehemiah 7:71And some of the heads of the families gave to the treasury for the project 20,000 darics of gold and 2,200 minas of silver.Nehemiah 7:72The rest of the people gave a total of 20,000 darics of gold, 2,000 minas of silver, and 67 priestly garments.Nehemiah 7:73So the priests, Levites, gatekeepers, singers, and temple servants, along with some of the people and the rest of the Israelites, settled in their own towns. And by the seventh month the Israelites had settled in their towns.Nehemiah 8:7The Levites—Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, and Pelaiah—instructed the people in the Law as they stood in their places.Nehemiah 8:8So they read from the Book of the Law of God, explaining it and giving insight, so that the people could understand what was being read.Nehemiah 8:9Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to all of them, “This day is holy to the LORD your God. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people were weeping as they heard the words of the Law.Nehemiah 8:10Then Nehemiah told them, “Go and eat what is rich, drink what is sweet, and send out portions to those who have nothing prepared, since today is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”Nehemiah 8:11And the Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be still, since today is holy.
