Daniel 3:4Then the herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, peoples, nations, and languages,Daniel 3:5that whenever you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, you fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up;Daniel 3:6and whoever doesn’t fall down and worship shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.Daniel 3:7Therefore at that time, when all the peoples heard the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, all the peoples, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshiped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.Daniel 3:8Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and brought accusation against the Jews.Daniel 3:9They answered Nebuchadnezzar the king, O king, live for ever.Daniel 3:10You, O king, have made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image;Daniel 3:11and whoever doesn’t fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.Daniel 3:12There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not respected you. They don’t serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have set up.Daniel 3:13Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.Daniel 3:14Nebuchadnezzar answered them, Is it on purpose, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you don’t serve my god, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?Daniel 3:15Now if you are ready whenever you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music to fall down and worship the image which I have made, well: but if you don’t worship, you shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that god that shall deliver you out of my hands?Daniel 3:16Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king, Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.Daniel 3:17If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.Daniel 3:18But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have set up.Daniel 3:19Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his appearance was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spoke, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.Daniel 3:20He commanded certain mighty men who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.Daniel 3:21Then these men were bound in their pants, their tunics, and their mantles, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.Daniel 3:22Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.Daniel 3:23These three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.Daniel 5:22You, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,Daniel 6:1It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred twenty satraps, who should be throughout the whole kingdom;Daniel 6:2and over them three presidents, of whom Daniel was one; that these satraps might give account to them, and that the king should have no damage.Daniel 6:3Then this Daniel was distinguished above the presidents and the satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.Daniel 6:4Then the presidents and the satraps sought to find occasion against Daniel as touching the kingdom; but they could find no occasion nor fault, because he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.Daniel 6:5Then these men said, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.Daniel 6:6Then these presidents and satraps assembled together to the king, and said thus to him, King Darius, live forever.Daniel 6:7All the presidents of the kingdom, the deputies and the satraps, the counselors and the governors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a strong decree, that whoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, except of you, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.Daniel 6:8Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it not be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which doesn’t alter.Daniel 6:9Therefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.Hosea 5:10The princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark. How long?’Habakkuk 2:7Won’t your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?Habakkuk 2:8Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you, because of men’s blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.Habakkuk 2:9Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!Habakkuk 2:10You have devised shame to your house, by cutting off many peoples, and have sinned against your soul.
