1 Kings 22:42Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem. and they worked wicked things to provoke Yahweh to anger;2 Kings 17:12and they served idols, of which Yahweh had said to them, “You shall not do this thing.”2 Kings 17:13Yet Yahweh testified to Israel, and to Judah, by every prophet, and every seer, saying, “Turn from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.”2 Kings 17:14Notwithstanding, they would not listen, but hardened their neck, like the neck of their fathers, who didn’t believe in Yahweh their God.2 Kings 17:15They rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified to them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom Yahweh had commanded them that they should not do like them.2 Kings 17:16They forsook all the commandments of Yahweh their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made an Asherah, and worshiped all the army of the sky, and served Baal.2 Kings 17:17They caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger.2 Kings 17:18Therefore Yahweh was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.2 Kings 17:32So they feared Yahweh, and made to them from among themselves priests of the high places, who sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places.2 Kings 18:3He did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, according to all that David his father had done.2 Kings 20:1In those days was Hezekiah sick to death. Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, “Thus says Yahweh, ‘Set your house in order; for you shall die, and not live.’”2 Kings 20:2Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Yahweh, saying,2 Kings 20:3“Remember now, Yahweh, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight.” Hezekiah wept bitterly.2 Kings 20:4It happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle part of the city, that the word of Yahweh came to him, saying,2 Kings 20:5“Turn back, and tell Hezekiah the prince of my people, ‘Thus says Yahweh, the God of David your father, “I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day, you shall go up to the house of Yahweh.2 Kings 20:6I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.”’”2 Kings 20:7Isaiah said, “Take a cake of figs.” They took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.2 Kings 20:8Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “What shall be the sign that Yahweh will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of Yahweh the third day?”2 Kings 20:9Isaiah said, “This shall be the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do the thing that he has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?”2 Kings 20:10Hezekiah answered, “It is a light thing for the shadow to go forward ten steps. Nay, but let the shadow return backward ten steps.”2 Kings 20:11Isaiah the prophet cried to Yahweh; and he brought the shadow ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.2 Kings 21:1Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Hephzibah.2 Kings 21:2He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, after the abominations of the nations whom Yahweh cast out before the children of Israel.
