It is unlawful for you to carry your mat.”John 5:11But he answered, “The man who made me well told me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.’”John 5:12“Who is this man who told you to pick it up and walk?” they asked.John 5:13But the man who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had slipped away while the crowd was there.John 5:14Afterward, Jesus found the man at the temple and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Stop sinning, or something worse may happen to you.”John 7:21Jesus answered them, “I did one miracle, and you are all amazed.John 7:22But because Moses gave you circumcision, you circumcise a boy on the Sabbath (not that it is from Moses, but from the patriarchs.)John 7:23If a boy can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses will not be broken, why are you angry with Me for making the whole man well on the Sabbath?John 7:24Stop judging by outward appearances, and start judging justly.”John 9:1Now as Jesus was passing by, He saw a man blind from birth,John 9:2and His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”John 9:3Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him.John 9:4While it is daytime, we must do the works of Him who sent Me. Night is coming, when no one can work.John 9:5While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”John 9:6When Jesus had said this, He spit on the ground, made some mud, and applied it to the man’s eyes.John 9:7Then He told him, “Go, wash in the Pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came back seeing.John 9:8At this, his neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging began to ask, “Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?”John 9:9Some claimed that he was, but others said, “No, he just looks like him.” But the man kept saying, “I am the one.”John 9:10“How then were your eyes opened?” they asked.John 9:11He answered, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and anointed my eyes, and He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed and received my sight.”John 9:12“Where is He?” they asked. “I do not know,” he answered.John 9:13They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind.John 9:14Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened his eyes was a Sabbath.
