Romans 4:7‘Happy they whose lawless acts were forgiven, and whose sins were covered;Romans 4:8happy the man to whom the Lord may not reckon sin.’Romans 4:9Is this happiness, then, upon the circumcision, or also upon the uncircumcision—for we say that the faith was reckoned to Abraham—to righteousness?Romans 4:10how then was it reckoned? he being in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision;Romans 4:11and a sign he did receive of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith in the uncircumcision, for his being father of all those believing through uncircumcision, for the righteousness also being reckoned to them,Romans 4:12and father of circumcision to those not of circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of the faith, that is in the uncircumcision of our father Abraham.Romans 4:13For not through law is the promise to Abraham, or to his seed, of his being heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith;Romans 4:14for if they who are of law are heirs, the faith hath been made void, and the promise hath been made useless;Romans 4:15for the law doth work wrath; for where law is not, neither is transgression.Romans 4:16Because of this it is of faith, that it may be according to grace, for the promise being sure to all the seed, not to that which is of the law only, but also to that which is of the faith of Abraham,Romans 4:17who is father of us all (according as it hath been written—‘A father of many nations I have set thee,’) before Him whom he did believe—God, who is quickening the dead, and is calling the things that be not as being.Romans 4:18Who, against hope in hope did believe, for his becoming father of many nations according to that spoken: ‘So shall thy seed be;’Romans 4:19and not having been weak in the faith, he did not consider his own body, already become dead, (being about a hundred years old,) and the deadness of Sarah’s womb,Romans 4:20and at the promise of God did not stagger in unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, having given glory to God,Romans 4:21and having been fully persuaded that what He hath promised He is able also to do:Romans 4:22wherefore also it was reckoned to him to righteousness.Romans 4:23And it was not written on his account alone, that it was reckoned to him,Romans 4:24but also on ours, to whom it is about to be reckoned—to us believing on Him who did raise up Jesus our Lord out of the dead,Romans 4:25who was delivered up because of our offences, and was raised up because of our being declared righteous.Romans 5:1Having been declared righteous, then, by faith, we have peace toward God through our Lord Jesus Christ,Romans 5:2through whom also we have the access by the faith into this grace in which we have stood, and we boast on the hope of the glory of God.Romans 5:15But, not as the offence so also is the free gift; for if by the offence of the one the many did die, much more did the grace of God, and the free gift in grace of the one man Jesus Christ, abound to the many;Romans 5:16and not as through one who did sin is the free gift, for the judgment indeed is of one to condemnation, but the gift is of many offences to a declaration of ‘Righteous,’Romans 5:17for if by the offence of the one the death did reign through the one, much more those, who the abundance of the grace and of the free gift of the righteousness are receiving, in life shall reign through the one—Jesus Christ.Romans 5:18So, then, as through one offence to all men it is to condemnation, so also through one declaration of ‘Righteous’ it is to all men to justification of life;Romans 5:19for as through the disobedience of the one man, the many were constituted sinners: so also through the obedience of the one, shall the many be constituted righteous.Romans 5:20And law came in, that the offence might abound, and where the sin did abound, the grace did overabound,Romans 5:21that even as the sin did reign in the death, so also the grace may reign, through righteousness, to life age-during, through Jesus Christ our Lord.Romans 7:24A wretched man I am! who shall deliver me out of the body of this death?Romans 7:25I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord; so then, I myself indeed with the mind do serve the law of God, and with the flesh, the law of sin.Romans 9:30What, then, shall we say? that nations who are not pursuing righteousness did attain to righteousness, and righteousness that is of faith,Romans 9:31and Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, at a law of righteousness did not arrive;Romans 9:32wherefore? because—not by faith, but as by works of law; for they did stumble at the stone of stumbling,Romans 9:33according as it hath been written, ‘Lo, I place in Sion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence; and every one who is believing thereon shall not be ashamed.’Romans 10:3for not knowing the righteousness of God, and their own righteousness seeking to establish, to the righteousness of God they did not submit.Romans 10:4For Christ is an end of law for righteousness to every one who is believing,Romans 10:5for Moses doth describe the righteousness that is of the law, that, ‘The man who did them shall live in them,’Romans 10:6and the righteousness of faith doth thus speak: ‘Thou mayest not say in thine heart, Who shall go up to the heaven,’ that is, Christ to bring down?Romans 10:7or, ‘Who shall go down to the abyss,’ that is, Christ out of the dead to bring up.Romans 10:8But what doth it say? ‘Nigh thee is the saying—in thy mouth, and in thy heart:’ that is, the saying of the faith, that we preach;Romans 10:9that if thou mayest confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and mayest believe in thy heart that God did raise him out of the dead, thou shalt be saved,Romans 10:10for with the heart doth one believe to righteousness, and with the mouth is confession made to salvation;Romans 10:11for the Writing saith, ‘Every one who is believing on him shall not be ashamed,’Romans 10:12for there is no difference between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord of all is rich to all those calling upon Him,Romans 10:13for every one—whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, he shall be saved.’Romans 11:1I say, then, Did God cast away His people? let it not be! for I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin:Romans 11:2God did not cast away His people whom He knew before; have ye not known—in Elijah—what the Writing saith? how he doth plead with God concerning Israel, saying,Romans 11:3‘Lord, Thy prophets they did kill, and Thy altars they dug down, and I was left alone, and they seek my life;’Romans 11:4but what saith the divine answer to him? ‘I left to Myself seven thousand men, who did not bow a knee to Baal.’Romans 11:5So then also in the present time a remnant according to the choice of grace there hath been;Romans 11:6and if by grace, no more of works, otherwise the grace becometh no more grace; and if of works, it is no more grace, otherwise the work is no more work.Romans 11:7What then? What Israel doth seek after, this it did not obtain, and the chosen did obtain, and the rest were hardened,Romans 11:8according as it hath been written, ‘God gave to them a spirit of deep sleep, eyes not to see, and ears not to hear,’—unto this very day,Romans 11:9and David saith, ‘Let their table become for a snare, and for a trap, and for a stumbling-block, and for a recompense to them;Romans 11:10let their eyes be darkened—not to behold, and their back do Thou always bow down.’Romans 11:11I say, then, Did they stumble that they might fall? let it not be! but by their fall the salvation is to the nations, to arouse them to jealousy;Romans 11:12and if the fall of them is the riches of a world, and the diminution of them the riches of nations, how much more the fulness of them?Romans 11:13For to you I speak—to the nations—inasmuch as I am indeed an apostle of nations, my ministration I do glorify;Romans 11:14if by any means I shall arouse to jealousy mine own flesh, and shall save some of them,Romans 11:15for if the casting away of them is a reconciliation of the world, what the reception—if not life out of the dead?
