Romans 11:16If the first part of the dough is holy, so is the whole batch; if the root is holy, so are the branches.Romans 11:17Now if some branches have been broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others to share in the nourishment of the olive root,Romans 11:18do not boast over those branches. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”Galatians 3:11Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.”Galatians 3:12The law, however, is not based on faith; on the contrary, “The man who does these things will live by them.”Galatians 3:13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”Galatians 3:14He redeemed us in order that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.Galatians 3:15Brothers, let me put this in human terms. Even a human covenant, once it is ratified, cannot be canceled or amended.
