1 Samuel 2:1Hannah prayed, and said: “My heart exults in Yahweh! My horn is exalted in Yahweh. My mouth is enlarged over my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation.1 Samuel 2:2There is no one as holy as Yahweh, For there is no one besides you, nor is there any rock like our God.1 Samuel 2:3“Talk no more so exceeding proudly. Don’t let arrogance come out of your mouth, For Yahweh is a God of knowledge. By him actions are weighed.1 Samuel 2:4“The bows of the mighty men are broken. Those who stumbled are armed with strength.1 Samuel 2:5Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread. Those who were hungry are satisfied. Yes, the barren has borne seven. The first took a wife, and dying left no offspring.Mark 12:21The second took her, and died, leaving no children behind him. The third likewise;Mark 12:22and the seven took her and left no children. Last of all the woman also died.Mark 12:23In the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as a wife.”Mark 12:24Jesus answered them, “Isn’t this because you are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God?Mark 12:25For when they will rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.Mark 12:26But about the dead, that they are raised; haven’t you read in the book of Moses, about the Bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?Mark 12:27He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are therefore badly mistaken.”Mark 12:28One of the scribes came, and heard them questioning together. Knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the greatest of all?”Mark 12:29Jesus answered, “The greatest is, ‘Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one:Mark 12:30you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
