They carry the sheaves, but still go hungry.Job 24:11They crush olives within their walls; they tread the winepresses, but go thirsty.Job 24:12From the city, men groan, and the souls of the wounded cry out, yet God charges no one with wrongdoing.Job 24:13Then there are those who rebel against the light, not knowing its ways or staying on its paths.Job 24:14When daylight is gone, the murderer rises to kill the poor and needy; in the night he is like a thief.Job 24:15The eye of the adulterer watches for twilight. Thinking, ‘No eye will see me,’ he covers his face.Job 24:16In the dark they dig through houses; by day they shut themselves in, never to experience the light.Job 24:17For to them, deep darkness is their morning; surely they are friends with the terrors of darkness!Job 24:18They are but foam on the surface of the water; their portion of the land is cursed, so that no one turns toward their vineyards.Job 24:19As drought and heat consume the melting snow, so Sheol steals those who have sinned.Job 24:20The womb forgets them; the worm feeds on them; they are remembered no more. So injustice is broken like a tree.Job 24:21They prey on the barren and childless, and show no kindness to the widow.Job 24:22Yet by His power, God drags away the mighty; though rising up, they have no assurance of life.Job 24:23He gives them a sense of security, but His eyes are on their ways.Job 24:24They are exalted for a moment, then they are gone; they are brought low and gathered up like all others; they are cut off like heads of grain.Job 27:8For what is the hope of the godless when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?Job 27:9Will God hear his cry when distress comes upon him?Job 27:10Will he delight in the Almighty? Will he call upon God at all times?Job 27:11I will instruct you in the power of God. I will not conceal the ways of the Almighty.Job 27:12Surely all of you have seen it for yourselves. Why then do you keep up this empty talk?Job 27:13This is the wicked man’s portion from God—the heritage the ruthless receive from the Almighty.Job 27:14Though his sons are many, they are destined for the sword; and his offspring will never have enough food.Job 27:15His survivors will be buried by the plague, and their widows will not weep for them.Job 27:16Though he heaps up silver like dust and piles up a wardrobe like clay,Job 27:17what he lays up, the righteous will wear, and his silver will be divided by the innocent.Job 27:18The house he built is like a moth’s cocoon, like a hut set up by a watchman.Job 27:19He lies down wealthy, but will do so no more; when he opens his eyes, all is gone.Job 27:20Terrors overtake him like a flood; a tempest sweeps him away in the night.Job 27:21The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; it sweeps him out of his place.Job 27:22It hurls itself against him without mercy as he flees headlong from its power.Job 27:23It claps its hands at him and hisses him out of his place.Job 31:3Does not disaster come to the unjust and calamity to the workers of iniquity?Job 33:14For God speaks in one way and in another, yet no one notices.
