1 Peter 3:9Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.1 Peter 3:10For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech.1 Peter 3:11He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it.1 Peter 3:12For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their prayer. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”1 Peter 5:6Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you.1 Peter 5:7Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.1 Peter 5:8Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.1 Peter 5:9Resist him, standing firm in your faith and in the knowledge that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.2 Peter 1:5For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge;2 Peter 1:6and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;2 Peter 1:7and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.2 Peter 1:10Therefore, brothers, strive to make your calling and election sure. The one who does not love remains in death.1 John 3:15Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that eternal life does not reside in a murderer.1 John 3:16By this we know what love is: Jesus laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.1 John 3:17If anyone with earthly possessions sees his brother in need, but withholds his compassion from him, how can the love of God abide in him?1 John 3:18Little children, let us love not in word and speech, but in action and truth.1 John 3:19And by this we will know that we belong to the truth, and will assure our hearts in His presence:1 John 3:20Even if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts, and He knows all things.1 John 3:21Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God,1 John 3:22and we will receive from Him whatever we ask, because we keep His commandments and do what is pleasing in His sight.1 John 3:23And this is His commandment: that we should believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and we should love one another just as He commanded us.1 John 4:1Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world.1 John 4:7Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.1 John 4:8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.1 John 4:11Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.1 John 4:12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us.1 John 4:15If anyone confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.1 John 4:16And we have come to know and believe the love that God has for us. God is love; whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
