Matthew 18:26Then the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Have patience with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’Matthew 18:27His master had compassion on him, forgave his debt, and released him.Matthew 18:28But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay back what you owe me!’Matthew 18:29So his fellow servant fell down and begged him, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you back.’Matthew 18:30But he refused. Instead, he went and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay his debt.Matthew 18:31When his fellow servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed, and they went and recounted all of this to their master.Matthew 18:32Then the master summoned him and said, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave all your debt because you begged me.Matthew 18:33Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had on you?’Luke 20:9Then He proceeded to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard, rented it out to some tenants, and went away for a long time.Luke 20:10At harvest time, he sent a servant to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat the servant and sent him away empty-handed.Luke 20:11So he sent another servant, but they beat him and treated him shamefully, sending him away empty-handed.Luke 20:12Then he sent a third, but they wounded him and threw him out.Luke 20:13‘What shall I do?’ asked the owner of the vineyard. ‘I will send my beloved son. Perhaps they will respect him.’Luke 20:14But when the tenants saw the son, they discussed it among themselves and said, ‘This is the heir. Let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’Luke 20:15So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?Luke 20:16He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” And when the people heard this, they said, “May such a thing never happen!”
