2 Kings 9:29(In the eleventh year of Joram son of Ahab, Ahaziah had become king over Judah.)2 Kings 9:30Now when Jehu arrived in Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it. So she painted her eyes, adorned her head, and looked down from a window.2 Kings 9:31And as Jehu entered the gate, she asked, “Have you come in peace, O Zimri, murderer of your master?”2 Kings 9:32He looked up at the window and called out, “Who is on my side? Separate yourselves from the people of the land and from your foreign wives.”Ezra 10:12And the whole assembly responded in a loud voice: “Truly we must do as you say!Ezra 10:13But there are many people here, and it is the rainy season. We are not able to stay out in the open. Nor is this the work of one or two days, for we have transgressed greatly in this matter.Ezra 10:14Let our leaders represent the whole assembly. Then let everyone in our towns who has married a foreign woman come at an appointed time, together with the elders and judges of each town, until the fierce anger of our God in this matter is turned away from us.”Ezra 10:15(Only Jonathan son of Asahel and Jahzeiah son of Tikvah, supported by Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite, opposed this plan.)Ezra 10:16So the exiles did as proposed.
