Daniel 4:7When the magicians, enchanters, astrologers, and diviners came in, I told them the dream, but they could not interpret it for me.Daniel 4:8But at last, into my presence came Daniel (whose name is Belteshazzar after the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods). And I told him the dream:Daniel 4:9“O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you and that no mystery baffles you. So explain to me the visions I saw in my dream, and their interpretation.Daniel 4:10In these visions of my mind as I was lying in bed, I saw this come to pass: There was a tree in the midst of the land, and its height was great.Daniel 4:11The tree grew large and strong; its top reached the sky, and it was visible to the ends of the earth.Daniel 4:12Its leaves were beautiful, its fruit was abundant, and upon it was food for all. Under it the beasts of the field found shelter, in its branches the birds of the air nested, and from it every creature was fed.Daniel 4:13As I lay on my bed, I also saw in the visions of my mind a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven.Daniel 4:14He called out in a loud voice: ‘Cut down the tree and chop off its branches; strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts flee from under it, and the birds from its branches.Daniel 4:15But leave the stump with its roots in the ground, with a band of iron and bronze around it, in the tender grass of the field. Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven and graze with the beasts on the grass of the earth.Daniel 4:16Let his mind be changed from that of a man, and let him be given the mind of a beast till seven times pass him by.Daniel 4:17This decision is the decree of the watchers, the verdict declared by the holy ones, so that the living will know that the Most High rules over the kingdom of mankind and gives it to whom He wishes, setting over it the lowliest of men.’Daniel 4:18This is the dream that I, King Nebuchadnezzar, saw. Now, Belteshazzar, tell me the interpretation, because none of the wise men of my kingdom can interpret it for me. But you are able, because the spirit of the holy gods is in you.”Daniel 5:5At that moment the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall, near the lampstand in the royal palace. As the king watched the hand that was writing,Daniel 5:24Therefore He sent the hand that wrote the inscription.Daniel 5:25Now this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN.Daniel 5:26And this is the interpretation of the message: MENE means that God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.Daniel 5:27TEKEL means that you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient.Daniel 5:28PERES means that your kingdom has been divided and given over to the Medes and Persians.”Daniel 5:29Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel in purple, placed a gold chain around his neck, and proclaimed him the third highest ruler in the kingdom.Jonah 3:5And the Ninevites believed God. We saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”Matthew 2:3When King Herod heard this, he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.Matthew 2:4And when he had assembled all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he asked them where the Christ was to be born.Matthew 2:5“In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written:Matthew 2:6‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah, for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of My people Israel.’”Matthew 2:7Then Herod called the Magi secretly and learned from them the exact time the star had appeared.Matthew 2:8And sending them to Bethlehem, he said: “Go and search carefully for the Child, and when you find Him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship Him.”Matthew 2:9After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stood over the place where the Child was.Matthew 2:10When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great delight.Matthew 2:11On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they fell down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh.Matthew 2:12And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they withdrew to their country by another route.Matthew 8:5When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came and pleaded with Him,Matthew 8:6“Lord, my servant lies at home, paralyzed and in terrible agony.”Matthew 8:7“I will go and heal him,” Jesus replied.Matthew 8:8The centurion answered, “Lord, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.Matthew 8:9For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell one to go, and he goes, and another to come, and he comes. I tell my servant to do something, and he does it.”Matthew 8:10When Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those following Him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.Matthew 8:11I say to you that many will come from the east and the west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.Matthew 8:12But the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”Matthew 8:13Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! As you have believed, so will it be done for you.” And his servant was healed at that very hour.Luke 7:2There a highly valued servant of a centurion was sick and about to die.Luke 7:3When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to ask Him to come and heal his servant.Luke 7:4They came to Jesus and pleaded with Him earnestly, “This man is worthy to have You grant this,Luke 7:5for he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.”Luke 7:6So Jesus went with them. But when He was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends with the message: “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy to have You come under my roof.Luke 7:7That is why I did not consider myself worthy to come to You. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.Luke 7:8For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell one to go, and he goes, and another to come, and he comes. I tell my servant to do something, and he does it.”Luke 7:9When Jesus heard this, He marveled at the centurion. Turning to the crowd following Him, He said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.”Acts 10:1At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was called the Italian Regiment.Acts 10:2He and all his household were devout and God-fearing. He gave generously to the people and prayed to God regularly.Acts 10:3One day at about the ninth hour, he had a clear vision of an angel of God who came to him and said, “Cornelius!”Acts 10:4Cornelius stared at him in fear and asked, “What is it, Lord?” The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have ascended as a memorial offering before God.Acts 10:5Now send men to Joppa to call for a man named Simon who is called Peter.Acts 10:6He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.”
