2 Kings 20:1In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz came to him and said, “This is what the LORD says: ‘Put your house in order, for you are about to die; you will not recover.’”2 Kings 20:2Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD, saying,2 Kings 20:3“Please, O LORD, remember how I have walked before You faithfully and with wholehearted devotion; I have done what is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.2 Kings 20:4Before Isaiah had left the middle courtyard, the word of the LORD came to him, saying,2 Kings 20:5“Go back and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people that this is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: ‘I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. I will surely heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the house of the LORD.2 Kings 20:6I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for My sake and for the sake of My servant David.’”2 Kings 20:7Then Isaiah said, “Prepare a poultice of figs.” So they brought it and applied it to the boil, and Hezekiah recovered.2 Kings 20:8Now Hezekiah had asked Isaiah, “What will be the sign that the LORD will heal me and that I will go up to the house of the LORD on the third day?”2 Kings 20:9And Isaiah had replied, “This will be a sign to you from the LORD that He will do what He has promised: Would you like the shadow to go forward ten steps, or back ten steps?”2 Kings 20:10“It is easy for the shadow to lengthen ten steps,” answered Hezekiah, “but not for it to go back ten steps.”2 Kings 20:11So Isaiah the prophet called out to the LORD, and He brought the shadow back the ten steps it had descended on the stairway of Ahaz.2 Kings 20:12At that time Merodach-baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent letters and a gift to Hezekiah, for he had heard about Hezekiah’s illness.2 Kings 20:13And Hezekiah received the envoys and showed them all that was in his treasure house—the silver, the gold, the spices, and the precious oil, as well as his armory—all that was found in his storehouses. There was nothing in his palace or in all his dominion that Hezekiah did not show them.2 Kings 20:14Then the prophet Isaiah went to King Hezekiah and asked, “Where did those men come from, and what did they say to you?” “They came from a distant land,” Hezekiah replied, “from Babylon.”2 Kings 20:15“What have they seen in your palace?” Isaiah asked. “They have seen everything in my palace,” answered Hezekiah. “There is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them.”2 Kings 20:16Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the LORD:2 Kings 20:17The time will surely come when everything in your palace and all that your fathers have stored up until this day will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the LORD.2 Kings 20:18And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood, will be taken away to be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”2 Kings 20:19But Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of the LORD that you have spoken is good.” For he thought, “Will there not at least be peace and security in my lifetime?”2 Chronicles 26:22As for the rest of the acts of Uzziah, from beginning to end, they are recorded by the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.2 Chronicles 32:32As for the rest of the acts of Hezekiah and his deeds of loving devotion, they are indeed written in the vision of the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.Isaiah 1:1This is the vision concerning Judah and Jerusalem that Isaiah son of Amoz saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.Isaiah 2:6For You have abandoned Your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with influences from the east; they are soothsayers like the Philistines; they strike hands with the children of foreigners.Isaiah 2:7Their land is full of silver and gold, with no limit to their treasures; their land is full of horses, with no limit to their chariots.Isaiah 2:8Their land is full of idols; they bow down to the work of their hands, to what their fingers have made.Isaiah 2:9So mankind is brought low, and man is humbled—do not forgive them!Isaiah 2:10Go into the rocks and hide in the dust from the terror of the LORD and the splendor of His majesty.Isaiah 2:11The proud look of man will be humbled, and the loftiness of men brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.Isaiah 2:12For the Day of the LORD of Hosts will come against all the proud and lofty, against all that is exalted—it will be humbled—Isaiah 2:13against all the cedars of Lebanon, lofty and lifted up, against all the oaks of Bashan,Isaiah 2:14against all the tall mountains, against all the high hills,Isaiah 2:15against every high tower, against every fortified wall,Isaiah 2:16against every ship of Tarshish, and against every stately vessel.Isaiah 2:17So the pride of man will be brought low, and the loftiness of men will be humbled; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day,Isaiah 2:18and the idols will vanish completely.Isaiah 2:19Men will flee to caves in the rocks and holes in the ground, away from the terror of the LORD and from the splendor of His majesty, when He rises to shake the earth.Isaiah 2:20In that day men will cast away to the moles and bats their idols of silver and gold—the idols they made to worship.Isaiah 4:2On that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of Israel’s survivors.Isaiah 4:3Whoever remains in Zion and whoever is left in Jerusalem will be called holy—all in Jerusalem who are recorded among the living—Isaiah 4:4when the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and cleansed the bloodstains from the heart of Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire.Isaiah 4:5Then the LORD will create over all of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud of smoke by day and a glowing flame of fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a canopy,Isaiah 4:6a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and the rain.Isaiah 5:1I will sing for my beloved a song of his vineyard: My beloved had a vineyard on a very fertile hill.Isaiah 5:2He dug it up and cleared the stones and planted the finest vines. He built a watchtower in the middle and dug out a winepress as well. He waited for the vineyard to yield good grapes, but the fruit it produced was sour!Isaiah 5:3“And now, O dwellers of Jerusalem and men of Judah, I exhort you to judge between Me and My vineyard.Isaiah 5:4What more could have been done for My vineyard than I have done for it? Why, when I expected sweet grapes, did it bring forth sour fruit?Isaiah 5:5Now I will tell you what I am about to do to My vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it will be consumed; I will tear down its wall, and it will be trampled.Isaiah 5:6I will make it a wasteland, neither pruned nor cultivated, and thorns and briers will grow up. I will command the clouds that rain shall not fall on it.”Isaiah 5:7For the vineyard of the LORD of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are the plant of His delight. He looked for justice, but saw bloodshed; for righteousness, but heard a cry of distress.Isaiah 5:8Woe to you who add house to house and join field to field until no place is left and you live alone in the land.Isaiah 5:9I heard the LORD of Hosts declare: “Surely many houses will become desolate, great mansions left unoccupied.Isaiah 5:10For ten acres of vineyard will yield but a bath of wine, and a homer of seed only an ephah of grain.”Isaiah 5:11Woe to those who rise early in the morning in pursuit of strong drink, who linger into the evening, to be inflamed by wine.Isaiah 5:12At their feasts are the lyre and harp, tambourines and flutes and wine. They disregard the actions of the LORD and fail to see the work of His hands.Isaiah 5:13Therefore My people will go into exile for their lack of understanding; their dignitaries are starving and their masses are parched with thirst.Isaiah 5:14Therefore Sheol enlarges its throat and opens wide its enormous jaws, and down go Zion’s nobles and masses, her revelers and carousers!Isaiah 5:15So mankind will be brought low, and each man humbled; the arrogant will lower their eyes.Isaiah 5:16But the LORD of Hosts will be exalted by His justice, and the holy God will show Himself holy in righteousness.Isaiah 5:17Lambs will graze as in their own pastures, and strangers will feed in the ruins of the wealthy.Isaiah 5:18Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of deceit and pull sin along with cart ropes,
