2 Kings 20:1In those days was Hezekiah sick to death. Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, “Thus says Yahweh, ‘Set your house in order; for you shall die, and not live.’”2 Kings 20:2Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Yahweh, saying,2 Kings 20:3“Remember now, Yahweh, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight.” Hezekiah wept bitterly.2 Kings 20:4It happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle part of the city, that the word of Yahweh came to him, saying,2 Kings 20:5“Turn back, and tell Hezekiah the prince of my people, ‘Thus says Yahweh, the God of David your father, “I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day, you shall go up to the house of Yahweh.2 Kings 20:6I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.”’”2 Kings 20:7Isaiah said, “Take a cake of figs.” They took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.2 Kings 20:8Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “What shall be the sign that Yahweh will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of Yahweh the third day?”2 Kings 20:9Isaiah said, “This shall be the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do the thing that he has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?”2 Kings 20:10Hezekiah answered, “It is a light thing for the shadow to go forward ten steps. Nay, but let the shadow return backward ten steps.”2 Kings 20:11Isaiah the prophet cried to Yahweh; and he brought the shadow ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.2 Kings 20:12At that time Berodach Baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah; for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.2 Kings 20:13Hezekiah listened to them, and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious oil, and the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah didn’t show them.2 Kings 20:14Then Isaiah the prophet came to king Hezekiah, and said to him, “What did these men say? From where did they come to you?” Hezekiah said, “They have come from a far country, even from Babylon.”2 Kings 20:15He said, “What have they seen in your house?” Hezekiah answered, “They have seen all that is in my house. There is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.”2 Kings 20:16Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of Yahweh.2 Kings 20:17‘Behold, the days come, that all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have laid up in store to this day, shall be carried to Babylon. Nothing shall be left,’ says Yahweh.2 Kings 20:18‘Of your sons who shall issue from you, whom you shall father, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.’”2 Kings 20:19Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of Yahweh which you have spoken is good.” He said moreover, “Isn’t it so, if peace and truth shall be in my days?”2 Chronicles 26:22Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last, Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, wrote.2 Chronicles 32:32Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his good deeds, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.Isaiah 1:1The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.Isaiah 2:6For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled from the east, with those who practice divination like the Philistines, and they clasp hands with the children of foreigners.Isaiah 2:7Their land is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures. Their land also is full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots.Isaiah 2:8Their land also is full of idols. They worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.Isaiah 2:9Man is brought low, and mankind is humbled; therefore don’t forgive them.Isaiah 2:10Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty.Isaiah 2:11The lofty looks of man will be brought low, the haughtiness of men will be bowed down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day.Isaiah 2:12For there will be a day of Yahweh of Armies for all that is proud and haughty, and for all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low:Isaiah 2:13For all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, for all the oaks of Bashan,Isaiah 2:14For all the high mountains, for all the hills that are lifted up,Isaiah 2:15For every lofty tower, for every fortified wall,Isaiah 2:16For all the ships of Tarshish, and for all pleasant imagery.Isaiah 2:17The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day.Isaiah 2:18The idols shall utterly pass away.Isaiah 2:19Men shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.Isaiah 2:20In that day, men shall cast away their idols of silver, and their idols of gold, which have been made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats;Isaiah 4:2In that day, Yahweh’s branch will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the beauty and glory of the survivors of Israel.Isaiah 4:3It will happen, that he who is left in Zion, and he who remains in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even everyone who is written among the living in Jerusalem;Isaiah 4:4when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from its midst, by the spirit of justice, and by the spirit of burning.Isaiah 4:5Yahweh will create over the whole habitation of Mount Zion, and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy.Isaiah 4:6There will be a pavilion for a shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a refuge and for a shelter from storm and from rain.Isaiah 5:1Let me sing for my well beloved a song of my beloved about his vineyard. My beloved had a vineyard on a very fruitful hill.Isaiah 5:2He dug it up, gathered out its stones, planted it with the choicest vine, built a tower in its midst, and also cut out a winepress therein. He looked for it to yield grapes, but it yielded wild grapes.Isaiah 5:3“Now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.Isaiah 5:4What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I looked for it to yield grapes, did it yield wild grapes?Isaiah 5:5Now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard. I will take away its hedge, and it will be eaten up. I will break down its wall of it, and it will be trampled down.Isaiah 5:6I will lay it a wasteland. It won’t be pruned nor hoed, but it will grow briers and thorns. I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it.”Isaiah 5:7For the vineyard of Yahweh of Armies is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for justice, but, behold, oppression; for righteousness, but, behold, a cry of distress.Isaiah 5:8Woe to those who join house to house, who lay field to field, until there is no room, and you are made to dwell alone in the midst of the land!Isaiah 5:9In my ears, Yahweh of Armies says: “Surely many houses will be desolate, even great and beautiful, unoccupied.Isaiah 5:10For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and a homer of seed shall yield an ephah.”Isaiah 5:11Woe to those who rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; who stay late into the night, until wine inflames them!Isaiah 5:12The harp, lyre, tambourine, and flute, with wine, are at their feasts; but they don’t respect the work of Yahweh, neither have they considered the operation of his hands.Isaiah 5:13Therefore my people go into captivity for lack of knowledge. Their honorable men are famished, and their multitudes are parched with thirst.Isaiah 5:14Therefore Sheol has enlarged its desire, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, their multitude, their pomp, and he who rejoices among them, descend into it.Isaiah 5:15So man is brought low, mankind is humbled, and the eyes of the arrogant ones are humbled;Isaiah 5:16but Yahweh of Armies is exalted in justice, and God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness.Isaiah 5:17Then the lambs will graze as in their pasture, and strangers will eat the ruins of the rich.Isaiah 5:18Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of falsehood, and wickedness as with cart rope;
