Numbers 12:6He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will reveal Myself to him in a vision; I will speak to him in a dream.Numbers 12:7But this is not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My house.Numbers 12:8I speak with him face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you unafraid to speak against My servant Moses?”Numbers 12:9So the anger of the LORD burned against them, and He departed.Numbers 12:10As the cloud lifted from above the Tent, suddenly Miriam became leprous, white as snow. Aaron turned toward her, saw that she was leprous,Numbers 12:11and said to Moses, “My lord, please do not hold against us this sin we have so foolishly committed.Numbers 12:12Please do not let her be like a stillborn infant whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”Numbers 12:13So Moses cried out to the LORD, “O God, please heal her!”Numbers 12:14But the LORD answered Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Let her be confined outside the camp for seven days; after that she may be brought back in.”Numbers 12:15So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until she was brought in again.Numbers 14:22not one of the men who have seen My glory and the signs I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness—yet have tested Me and disobeyed Me these ten times—Numbers 14:23not one will ever see the land that I swore to give their fathers. None of those who have treated Me with contempt will see it.Numbers 14:26Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,Numbers 14:27“How long will this wicked congregation grumble against Me? I have heard the complaints that the Israelites are making against Me.Numbers 14:28So tell them: As surely as I live, declares the LORD, I will do to you exactly as I heard you say.Numbers 14:29Your bodies will fall in this wilderness—all who were numbered in the census, everyone twenty years of age or older—because you have grumbled against Me.Numbers 14:30Surely none of you will enter the land in which I swore to settle you, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.Numbers 14:31But I will bring your children, whom you said would become plunder, into the land you have rejected—and they will enjoy it.Numbers 14:32As for you, however, your bodies will fall in this wilderness.Numbers 14:33Your children will be shepherds in the wilderness for forty years, and they will suffer for your unfaithfulness until the last of your bodies lies in the wilderness.Numbers 14:34In keeping with the forty days you spied out the land, you shall bear your guilt forty years—a year for each day—and you will experience My alienation.Numbers 14:35I, the LORD, have spoken, and I will surely do these things to this entire wicked congregation, which has conspired against Me.
