Romans 5:15But the gift is not like the trespass. Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed, I would not have been mindful of sin if not for the law. For I would not have been aware of coveting if the law had not said, “Do not covet.”Romans 7:8But sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from the law, sin is dead.Romans 7:9Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.Romans 7:10So I discovered that the very commandment that was meant to bring life actually brought death.Romans 7:11For sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through the commandment put me to death.Romans 7:12So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous, and good.Romans 7:13Did that which is good, then, become death to me? Certainly not! And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?Romans 10:15And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”Romans 10:16But not all of them welcomed the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”Romans 10:17Consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.Romans 10:18But I ask, did they not hear? Indeed they did: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”Romans 10:19I ask instead, did Israel not understand? First, Moses says: “I will make you jealous by those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation without understanding.”
