1 Kings 1:30I will carry out this very day exactly what I swore to you by the LORD, the God of Israel: Surely your son Solomon will reign after me, and he will sit on my throne in my place.”1 Kings 1:31Bathsheba bowed facedown in homage to the king and said, “May my lord King David live forever!”1 Kings 1:32Then King David said, “Call in for me Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada.” So they came before the king.1 Kings 1:33“Take my servants with you,” said the king. “Set my son Solomon on my own mule and take him down to Gihon.1 Kings 1:34There Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet are to anoint him king over Israel. I will give you a better vineyard in its place—or if you prefer, I will give you its value in silver.”1 Kings 21:3But Naboth replied, “The LORD forbid that I should give you the inheritance of my fathers.”1 Kings 21:4So Ahab went to his palace, sullen and angry because Naboth the Jezreelite had told him, “I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” He lay down on his bed, turned his face away, and refused to eat.1 Kings 21:5Soon his wife Jezebel came in and asked, “Why are you so sullen that you refuse to eat?”
