Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’Matthew 25:10But while they were on their way to buy it, the bridegroom arrived. Those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut.Matthew 25:11Later the other virgins arrived and said, ‘Lord, lord, open the door for us!’Matthew 25:12But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I do not know you.’Matthew 25:13Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.Matthew 25:14For it is just like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted them with his possessions.Matthew 25:15To one he gave five talents, to another two talents, and to another one talent—each according to his own ability. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches.”Luke 13:21It is like leaven that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour, until all of it was leavened.”Luke 14:16But Jesus replied, “A certain man prepared a great banquet and invited many guests.Luke 14:17When it was time for the banquet, he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’Luke 14:18But one after another they all began to make excuses. The first one said, ‘I have bought a field, and I need to go see it. Please excuse me.’Luke 14:19Another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out. Please excuse me.’Luke 14:20Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, so I cannot come.’Luke 14:21The servant returned and reported all this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.’
