1 Timothy 5:3Honor widows who are widows indeed.1 Timothy 5:4But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.1 Timothy 5:5Now she who is a widow indeed, and desolate, has her hope set on God, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.1 Timothy 5:6But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.1 Timothy 5:7Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.1 Timothy 5:8But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.1 Timothy 5:9Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,1 Timothy 5:10being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.1 Timothy 5:11But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against Christ, they desire to marry;1 Timothy 5:12having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.1 Timothy 5:13Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.1 Timothy 5:14I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for insulting.1 Timothy 5:15For already some have turned aside after Satan.1 Timothy 5:16If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don’t let the assembly be burdened; that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.1 Timothy 5:17Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.1 Timothy 5:18For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”1 Timothy 5:19Don’t receive an accusation against an elder, except at the word of two or three witnesses.1 Timothy 5:20Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.1 Timothy 5:21I command you in the sight of God, and Christ Jesus, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.1 Timothy 5:22Lay hands hastily on no one, neither be a participant in other men’s sins. Keep yourself pure.1 Timothy 6:1Let as many as are bondservants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the doctrine not be blasphemed.1 Timothy 6:2Those who have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brothers, but rather let them serve them, because those who partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.1 Timothy 6:3If anyone teaches a different doctrine, and doesn’t consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,1 Timothy 6:4he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, insulting, evil suspicions,1 Timothy 6:5constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.1 Timothy 6:6But godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy 6:7For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out.1 Timothy 6:8But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.1 Timothy 6:9But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction.1 Timothy 6:10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.1 Timothy 6:11But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.1 Timothy 6:12Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.1 Timothy 6:13I command you before God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate testified the good confession,1 Timothy 6:14that you keep the commandment without spot, blameless, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ;1 Timothy 6:15which in its own times he will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;1 Timothy 6:16who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen.1 Timothy 6:17Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;1 Timothy 6:18that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;1 Timothy 6:19laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.1 Timothy 6:20Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of the knowledge which is falsely so called;1 Timothy 6:21which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Yet I am not ashamed, for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed to him against that day.2 Timothy 1:13Hold the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.2 Timothy 1:14That good thing which was committed to you, guard through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.2 Timothy 1:16May the Lord grant mercy to the house of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain,2 Timothy 2:1You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.2 Timothy 2:2The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.2 Timothy 2:3You therefore must endure hardship, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.2 Timothy 2:4No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.2 Timothy 2:5Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he isn’t crowned unless he has competed by the rules.2 Timothy 2:6The farmers who labor must be the first to get a share of the crops.2 Timothy 2:7Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.2 Timothy 2:8Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, of the seed of David, according to my Good News,2 Timothy 2:9in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal.
