Genesis 11:1Now the whole world had one language and a common form of speech.Genesis 11:2And as people journeyed eastward, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there.Genesis 11:3And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” So they used brick instead of stone, and tar instead of mortar.Genesis 11:4“Come,” they said, “let us build for ourselves a city with a tower that reaches to the heavens, that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of all the earth.”Genesis 11:5Then the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the sons of men were building.Genesis 11:6And the LORD said, “If they have begun to do this as one people speaking the same language, then nothing they devise will be beyond them.Genesis 11:7Come, let Us go down and confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”Genesis 11:8So the LORD scattered them from there over the face of all the earth, and they stopped building the city.Genesis 11:9That is why it is called Babel, for there the LORD confused the language of the whole world, and from that place the LORD scattered them over the face of all the earth.Genesis 15:17When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, behold, a smoking firepot and a flaming torch appeared and passed between the halves of the carcasses.Genesis 17:17Abraham fell facedown. So Moses put his hand back inside his cloak, and when he took it out, it was restored, like the rest of his skin.Exodus 4:8And the LORD said, “If they refuse to believe you or heed the witness of the first sign, they may believe that of the second.Exodus 4:9But if they do not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice, take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground. Then the water you take from the Nile will become blood on the ground.”Exodus 4:28And Moses told Aaron everything the LORD had sent him to say, and all the signs He had commanded him to perform.Exodus 4:29Then Moses and Aaron went and assembled all the elders of the Israelites,Exodus 4:30and Aaron relayed everything the LORD had said to Moses. And Moses performed the signs before the people,Exodus 4:31and they believed. And when they heard that the LORD had attended to the Israelites and had seen their affliction, they bowed down and worshiped.Exodus 7:5And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out My hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out from among them.”Exodus 7:10So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD had commanded. Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a serpent.Exodus 7:11But Pharaoh called the wise men and sorcerers and magicians of Egypt, and they also did the same things by their magic arts.Exodus 7:12Each one threw down his staff, and it became a serpent. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up the other staffs.Exodus 7:17This is what the LORD says: By this you will know that I am the LORD. Behold, with the staff in my hand I will strike the water of the Nile, and it will turn to blood.Exodus 7:22But the magicians of Egypt did the same things by their magic arts. So Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said.Exodus 8:7But the magicians did the same thing by their magic arts, and they also brought frogs up onto the land of Egypt.Exodus 8:8Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray to the LORD to take the frogs away from me and my people. Then I will let your people go, that they may sacrifice to the LORD.”Exodus 8:9Moses said to Pharaoh, “You may have the honor over me. When shall I pray for you and your officials and your people that the frogs (except for those in the Nile) may be taken away from you and your houses?”Exodus 8:10“Tomorrow,” Pharaoh answered. “May it be as you say,” Moses replied, “so that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.Exodus 8:22But on that day I will give special treatment to the land of Goshen, where My people live; no swarms of flies will be found there. In this way you will know that I, the LORD, am in the land.Exodus 9:14Otherwise, I will send all My plagues against you and your officials and your people, so you may know that there is no one like Me in all the earth.Exodus 9:15For by this time I could have stretched out My hand and struck you and your people with a plague to wipe you off the earth.Exodus 9:16But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display My power to you, and that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth.Exodus 9:29Moses said to him, “When I have left the city, I will spread out my hands to the LORD. The thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail, so that you may know that the earth is the LORD’s.Exodus 10:1Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his officials, that I may perform these miraculous signs of Mine among them,Exodus 10:2and that you may tell your children and grandchildren how severely I dealt with the Egyptians when I performed miraculous signs among them, so that all of you may know that I am the LORD.”Exodus 10:7Pharaoh’s officials asked him, “How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the people go, so that they may worship the LORD their God. Do you not yet realize that Egypt lies in ruins?”Exodus 10:16Pharaoh quickly summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “I have sinned against the LORD your God and against you.Exodus 10:17Now please forgive my sin once more and appeal to the LORD your God, that He may remove this death from me.”Exodus 11:1Then the LORD said to Moses, “I will bring upon Pharaoh and Egypt one more plague. After that, he will allow you to leave this place. And when he lets you go, he will drive you out completely.Exodus 11:7But among all the Israelites, not even a dog will snarl at man or beast.’ Then you will know that the LORD makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.Exodus 11:8And all these officials of yours will come and bow before me, saying, ‘Go, you and all the people who follow you!’ After that, I will depart.” And hot with anger, Moses left Pharaoh’s presence.Exodus 11:9The LORD said to Moses, “Pharaoh will not listen to you, so that My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”Exodus 12:29Now at midnight the LORD struck down every firstborn male in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on his throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner in the dungeon, as well as all the firstborn among the livestock.Exodus 12:30During the night Pharaoh got up—he and all his officials and all the Egyptians—and there was loud wailing in Egypt; for there was no house without someone dead.Exodus 12:31Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron by night and said, “Get up, leave my people, both you and the Israelites! Go, worship the LORD as you have requested.
