Judges 11:28But the king of the Ammonites paid no heed to the message Jephthah sent him.Judges 11:29Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah, and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh, then through Mizpah of Gilead. And from there he advanced against the Ammonites.Judges 11:30Jephthah made this vow to the LORD: “If indeed You will deliver the Ammonites into my hand,Judges 11:31then whatever comes out the door of my house to greet me on my triumphant return from the Ammonites will belong to the LORD, and I will offer it up as a burnt offering.”Judges 11:32So Jephthah crossed over to the Ammonites to fight against them, and the LORD delivered them into his hand.Judges 11:33With a great blow he devastated twenty cities from Aroer to the vicinity of Minnith, as far as Abel-keramim. And Elkanah had relations with his wife Hannah, and the LORD remembered her.1 Samuel 1:20So in the course of time, Hannah conceived and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the LORD.”1 Samuel 9:13As soon as you enter the city, you will find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. The people will not eat until he comes, because he must bless the sacrifice; after that, the guests will eat. Do as You have promised,2 Samuel 7:26so that Your name will be magnified forever when it is said, ‘The LORD of Hosts is God over Israel.’ And the house of Your servant David will be established before You.2 Samuel 7:27For You, O LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, have revealed this to Your servant when You said, ‘I will build a house for you.’ Therefore Your servant has found the courage to offer this prayer to You.2 Samuel 7:28And now, O Lord GOD, You are God! Your words are true, and You have promised this goodness to Your servant.2 Samuel 7:29Now therefore, may it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You.
