Mark 14:53They led Jesus away to the high priest, and all the chief priests, elders, and scribes assembled.Mark 14:54Peter followed Him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest. And he sat with the officers and warmed himself by the fire.Mark 14:55Now the chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were seeking testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but they did not find any.Mark 14:56For many bore false witness against Jesus, but their testimony was inconsistent.Mark 14:57Then some men stood up and testified falsely against Him:Mark 14:58“We heard Him say, ‘I will destroy this man-made temple, and in three days I will build another that is made without hands.’”Mark 14:59But even their testimony was inconsistent.Mark 14:60So the high priest stood up before them and questioned Jesus, “Have You no answer? What is your verdict?” And they all condemned Him as deserving of death.Mark 14:65Then some of them began to spit on Him. They blindfolded Him, struck Him with their fists, and said to Him, “Prophesy!” And the officers received Him with slaps in His face.Mark 14:66While Peter was in the courtyard below, one of the servant girls of the high priest came downMark 14:67and saw him warming himself there. She looked at Peter and said, “You also were with Jesus the Nazarene.”Mark 14:68But he denied it. “I do not know or even understand what you are talking about,” he said. Then he went out to the gateway, and the rooster crowed.Mark 14:69There the servant girl saw him and again said to those standing nearby, “This man is one of them.”Mark 14:70But he denied it again. After a little while, those standing nearby said once more to Peter, “Surely you are one of them, for you too are a Galilean.”Mark 14:71But he began to curse and swear, “I do not know this man of whom you speak!”Mark 14:72And immediately the rooster crowed a second time. Then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And he broke down and wept.Mark 15:6Now it was Pilate’s custom at the feast to release to the people a prisoner of their choosing.Mark 15:15And wishing to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. And Peter followed at a distance.Luke 22:55When those present had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.Luke 22:56A servant girl saw him seated in the firelight and looked intently at him. “This man also was with Him,” she said.Luke 22:57But Peter denied it. “Woman, I do not know Him,” he said.Luke 22:58A short time later, someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”Luke 22:59About an hour later, another man insisted, “Certainly this man was with Him, for he too is a Galilean.”Luke 22:60“Man, I do not know what you are talking about,” Peter replied. And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.Luke 22:61And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word that the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”Luke 22:62And he went outside and wept bitterly.Luke 22:63The men who were holding Jesus began to mock Him and beat Him.Luke 22:64They blindfolded Him and kept demanding, “Prophesy! Who hit You?”Luke 22:65And they said many other blasphemous things against Him.Luke 22:66At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and scribes, met together. They led Jesus into their Sanhedrin and said,Luke 22:67“If You are the Christ, tell us.” Jesus answered, “If I tell you, you will not believe.Luke 22:68And if I ask you a question, you will not answer.Luke 22:69But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”Luke 22:70So they all asked, “Are You then the Son of God?” He replied, “You say that I am.”Luke 22:71“Why do we need any more testimony?” they declared. “We have heard it for ourselves from His own lips.”Luke 23:17John 18:3So Judas brought a band of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees. They arrived at the garden carrying lanterns, torches, and weapons.John 18:4Jesus, knowing all that was coming upon Him, stepped forward and asked them, “Whom are you seeking?”John 18:5“Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered. Jesus said, “I am He.” And Judas His betrayer was standing there with them.John 18:6When Jesus said, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.John 18:7So He asked them again, “Whom are you seeking?” “Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered.John 18:8“I told you that I am He,” Jesus replied. “So if you are looking for Me, let these men go.”John 18:9This was to fulfill the word He had spoken: “I have not lost one of those You have given Me.”John 18:10Then Simon Peter drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.John 18:11“Put your sword back in its sheath!” Jesus said to Peter. “Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given Me?”John 18:12Then the band of soldiers, with its commander and the officers of the Jews, arrested Jesus and bound Him.
