Luke 7:38As she stood behind Him at His feet weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears and wipe them with her hair. Then she kissed His feet and anointed them with the perfume.Luke 7:39When the Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, He would know who this is and what kind of woman is touching Him—for she is a sinner!”Luke 7:40But Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” “Tell me, Teacher,” he said.Luke 7:41“Two men were debtors to a certain moneylender. They stripped him, beat him, and went away, leaving him half dead.Luke 10:31Now by chance a priest was going down the same road, but when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.Luke 10:32So too, when a Levite came to that spot and saw him, he passed by on the other side.Luke 10:33But a Samaritan on a journey came upon him, and when he saw him, he had compassion.Luke 10:34He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Did not the One who made the outside make the inside as well?Luke 11:41But give as alms the things that are within you, and behold, everything will be clean for you.Luke 11:42Woe to you Pharisees! For you pay tithes of mint, rue, and every herb, but you disregard justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without neglecting the former.Luke 11:43Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the chief seats in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces.Luke 11:44Woe to you! For you are like unmarked graves, which men walk over without even noticing.”Luke 11:45One of the experts in the law told Him, “Teacher, when You say these things, You insult us as well.”Luke 11:46“Woe to you as well, experts in the law!” He replied. “For you weigh men down with heavy burdens, but you yourselves will not lift a finger to lighten their load.Luke 11:47Woe to you! For you build tombs for the prophets, but it was your fathers who killed them.Luke 11:48So you are witnesses consenting to the deeds of your fathers: They killed the prophets, and you build their tombs.Luke 11:49Because of this, the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles; some of them they will kill and others they will persecute.’Luke 11:50As a result, this generation will be charged with the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the foundation of the world,Luke 11:51from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, all of it will be charged to this generation.Luke 11:52Woe to you experts in the law! For you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.”Luke 11:53As Jesus went on from there, the scribes and Pharisees began to oppose Him bitterly and to ply Him with questions about many things,Luke 11:54waiting to catch Him in something He might say.Luke 15:2So the Pharisees and scribes began to grumble: “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”Luke 15:25Meanwhile the older son was in the field, and as he approached the house, he heard music and dancing.Luke 15:26So he called one of the servants and asked what was going on.Luke 15:27‘Your brother has returned,’ he said, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has him back safe and sound.’Luke 15:28The older son became angry and refused to go in. So his father came out and pleaded with him.Luke 15:29But he answered his father, ‘Look, all these years I have served you and never disobeyed a commandment of yours. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.Luke 15:30But when this son of yours returns from squandering your wealth with prostitutes, you kill the fattened calf for him!’Luke 15:31‘Son, you are always with me,’ the father said, ‘and all that is mine is yours.Luke 15:32But it was fitting to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”Luke 16:14The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all of this and were scoffing at Jesus.Luke 16:15So He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts.
