1 Kings 3:12behold, I have done according to thy word: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there hath been none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.1 Kings 3:13And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches and honor, so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee, all thy days.1 Kings 3:14And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.1 Kings 3:15And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream: and he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and offered up burnt-offerings, and offered peace-offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.1 Kings 3:16Then there came two women that were harlots, unto the king, and stood before him.1 Kings 3:17And the one woman said, Oh, my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house; and I was delivered of a child with her in the house.1 Kings 3:18And it came to pass the third day after I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also; and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the house, save we two in the house.1 Kings 3:19And this woman’s child died in the night, because she lay upon it.1 Kings 3:20And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thy handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.1 Kings 3:21And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead; but when I had looked at it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, whom I did bear.1 Kings 3:22And the other woman said, Nay; but the living is my son, and the dead is thy son. And this said, No; but the dead is thy son, and the living is my son. Thus they spake before the king.1 Kings 3:23Then said the king, The one saith, This is my son that liveth, and thy son is the dead: and the other saith, Nay; but thy son is the dead, and my son is the living.1 Kings 3:24And the king said, Fetch me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king.1 Kings 3:25And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.1 Kings 3:26Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her heart yearned over her son, and she said, Oh, my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, It shall be neither mine nor thine; divide it.1 Kings 3:27Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she is the mother thereof.1 Kings 3:28And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and he was the only officer that was in the land.1 Kings 4:20Judah and Israel were many as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.1 Kings 4:21And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought tribute, and served Solomon all the days of his life.1 Kings 4:22And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,1 Kings 4:23ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and gazelles, and roebucks, and fatted fowl.1 Kings 4:24For he had dominion over all the region on this side the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on this side the River: and he had peace on all sides round about him.1 Kings 4:26And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.1 Kings 4:27And those officers provided victuals for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month; they let nothing be lacking.1 Kings 4:28Barley also and straw for the horses and swift steeds brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.1 Kings 4:29And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.1 Kings 4:30And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.1 Kings 4:31For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all the nations round about.1 Kings 4:32And he spake three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five.1 Kings 4:33And he spake of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall; he spake also of beasts, and of birds, and of creeping things, and of fishes.1 Kings 4:34And there came of all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.1 Kings 7:1And Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.1 Kings 7:2For he built the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was a hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.1 Kings 7:3And it was covered with cedar above over the forty and five beams, that were upon the pillars; fifteen in a row.1 Kings 7:4And there were beams in three rows, and window was over against window in three ranks.1 Kings 7:5And all the doors and posts were made square with beams: and window was over against window in three ranks.1 Kings 7:6And he made the porch of pillars; the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits; and a porch before them; and pillars and a threshold before them.1 Kings 7:7And he made the porch of the throne where he was to judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from floor to floor.1 Kings 7:8And his house where he was to dwell, the other court within the porch, was of the like work. He made also a house for Pharaoh’s daughter (whom Solomon had taken to wife), like unto this porch.1 Kings 7:9All these were of costly stones, even of hewn stone, according to measure, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside unto the great court.1 Kings 7:10And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.
