Who made it?

National Council of Churches commissioned the Society of Biblical Literature to manage scholarly review.

Why was it made?

To update the NRSV using discoveries in manuscript evidence, philology and historical scholarship since 1989.

How did it develop?

The NRSVue was produced through a multi-year review managed by the Society of Biblical Literature. It updates thousands of places while remaining in the RSV/NRSV lineage.
