Who made it?

William Tyndale, with later portions of the Old Testament left incomplete at his death.

Why was it made?

To give ordinary English readers Scripture translated from the biblical languages.

How did it develop?

Tyndale’s printed New Testament appeared in 1526 after earlier copies were suppressed. His vigorous English influenced nearly every major English Bible that followed, especially the King James Version. He also translated the Pentateuch and other Old Testament portions before his execution in 1536.
