communion just laid down. This passage is not inconsistent with the interpretation given to verses 3-5. In consequence of their neglect of duty, Paul determined to deliver the in- cestuous member of the Corinthian church to Satan. He calls upon them to recognize the validity of that sentence, and to carry it into effect. The sentence was pronounced ; they, so far as it involved their conmiunion, were to execute it.
