This is the ground of the commu- nion of saints m which the church universal professes lier i^iith. The distinct personality and the divinity of the Son, the Father, and the Holy Spirit, to each of Avhom prayer is ad- dressed, is liere taken for granted. And therefore this pas sage is a clear recognition of the doctrine of the Trinity, which is the fundamental doctrine of Cliristianity. For a Christian is one Avho seeks and enjoys the grace of the Lord Jesus, the love of Gocl, and the communion of t}u3 Holy Gliost.,;.
