Blendon, Monday, August 13, 1739.
The letter above mentioned, as sent to the Bishop of _Gloucester_, was occasioned by the Bishop’s acquainting Mr. _Whitefield_, in a letter, “That he ought to preach only in that congregation to which he was lawfully appointed.” This produced the following answer.
