Jesus this is the first thing, that He is the Son of God : that He will come to judgment is the last. The former is the foun dation of the latter ; the latter the most glorious proof of the former. In the most adverse circumstances, it always especially consoles the sons of God to contemplate the consummation of all things : cf.
