Mark frequently employs a Zeugma of this kind, so as to put some word in the middle, which is intended to be connected with the preceding, and also with the subsequent word or words, See ch. iii. 26, iv. 21, v. 40, 42, vi. 13, vii. 2, 21, x. 7.
