Hesychius has Gv/upvTov, Gv/xrropevofxsvov, guvov, and so cv/x<pvr / with the dative is a word very significant ; comp. ver. 4, 6. Cluverus translates it, engendered together [connaturati, endowed with the same nature together ] grown together \) All spiritually quickening power is in Christ, and that power has been confer- red upon [brought together into] baptism ; guv is used [in the compound Gv/xpuroi], as in the opposite word GwiGruvp&dri ; and the simple [root] word cpvofxat refers to Davarov, and dvdGraciv. — aXXa, but) The contrast is between death and the resurrection. — rijg) that is, rip o/xonx/xan rqg dvaGracewg, in the likeness of His resur- rection.— sGofitd a) scil. In respect of the past, he is justified [just] from the guilt of sin ; in respect of the future, from its dominion, ver. 14.
