The latter, hostile in [of] themselves, are cast down ; the former vanquished and taken captive is wont to surrender itself, so that it necessarily and willingly tenders the obedience of faith to Christ the conqueror, having laid aside all its owtl authority, even as a slave entirely depends on the will of his master.
