T his Verſe gives the ſame Reaſon which hath been often given, why the Lord proceeds in this Severity, becauſe as an obſtinare, lewd, un- trattable Adultereſs abuſerh the beſt Husband, till nonecan forbear ; ſo had the Jews dealt with God, and God will deal with them.
