ΣΚΟΡΠΊΖΩ: σκορπίζω [ [in LXX for פּוּץ hi., etc. ;] ] in vernac. and in Ion, and late writers for σκεδάννυμι (v. MM, xxiii; Rutherford, NPhr., 295), to scatter: ὁ λύκος, Jo 10:12; ὁ μὴ συνάγων μετ’ ἐμοῦ σκορπίζει, Mt 12:30, Lk 11:23; pass., seq. εἰς, c. acc. loc., Jo 16:32; of one who dispenses blessings, II Co 9:9 (LXX) (of. δια-σκορπίζομαι).†
