7-DAY FOCUS PATH · DECISIONS

A Week to Slow Down, Read, Pray, and Act

This is not a promise that seven days will fix decisions. It is a structured week for getting out of the endless-scroll cycle and spending deliberate time with Scripture, honest reflection, prayer, and one manageable action at a time.

DAY 1

Slow Down and Name What Is Real

Starting passage: James 1:5

Read the whole surrounding chapter. Write what is actually happening in the passage before asking what it means for your situation.

What am I carrying right now that I have been minimizing, exaggerating, hiding, or trying to solve all at once?

DAY 2

Look for God’s Character

Starting passage: Proverbs 15:22

Read the surrounding chapter and notice what God does, promises, commands, or reveals about himself.

What does this passage give me a reason to trust—and what does it not promise?

DAY 3

Notice the Human Response

Starting passage: Romans 12:2

Read the passage in context. Look for prayer, action, patience, repentance, courage, community, or endurance.

What response is faithful even if my circumstances do not change today?

DAY 4

Hold the Bigger Hope

Starting passage: Colossians 3:15

Read the chapter around this verse. Let the larger biblical hope correct both despair and unrealistic expectations.

What would hope look like if it meant faithfulness rather than pretending everything is fine?

DAY 5

Learn More Than One Verse Can Teach

Preview the related guided course and read at least one lesson or its primary passage.

What part of this situation do I need to understand better instead of reacting to automatically?

DAY 6

Pray and Do One Concrete Thing

Ask for wisdom, then write down the real options, motives, risks, responsibilities, and who will be affected. Pray for courage to choose rather than endless fear of choosing wrong. Then choose one small action you can actually complete today.

What is one faithful action within my control—and what am I trying to control that is not mine to control?

DAY 7

Review, Remember, and Choose What Comes Next

Review the four key passages from this week. Write what changed, what did not change, what you learned, and what support or next study step you need.

What do I want to remember from this week one month from now?
