Gregory of Nyssa, younger brother of Basil, wrote on the Trinity, creation, the spiritual life and biblical interpretation and participated in late fourth-century theological controversies.
He is one of the major Cappadocian theologians and an important source for later Eastern Christian thought.
Some of his statements about final restoration have generated long-running debates over how universalist his eschatology was.
