A QUESTION WORTH TAKING SERIOUSLY
What About Contradictions and Difficult Passages?
Some alleged contradictions disappear when genre, chronology, translation, or the author’s purpose is examined. Others remain genuinely difficult and deserve more than a clever one-line answer.
BAD’s approach is to put the passages side by side, ask what each author actually says, distinguish a difference in emphasis from a logical contradiction, and admit when proposed harmonizations are uncertain. A faith worth considering should not need the evidence hidden.
