Biblical foundations for marriage, communication, conflict, forgiveness, parenting, singleness, boundaries, and faithful family life.
Course Outline
LESSON 1
Covenant Love and Mutual Faithfulness
Primary passage: Ephesians 5:21-33
Christian marriage is not a license for domination. Ephesians places marriage inside a larger call to Spirit-shaped life and begins the household discussion with submission to one another in the fear of Christ.
LESSON 2
Words, Anger, and Conflict
Primary passage: James 1:19-20
Scripture repeatedly treats speech as morally serious. Being quick to hear and slow to speak is not passivity; it is a discipline that can interrupt destructive escalation.
LESSON 3
Forgiveness and Boundaries
Primary passage: Colossians 3:12-15
Christians are commanded to forgive, but forgiveness should not be confused with pretending an offense did not happen or returning immediately to unsafe conditions.
LESSON 4
Children, Singleness, and the Wider Family of God
Primary passage: 1 Corinthians 7:32-35
The New Testament honors marriage but does not treat marriage as the only complete Christian life. Paul speaks positively about singleness and its opportunities for focused service.
