MINISTRY TRAINING · MODULE 16 · UNIT 4 OF 4
Human Evaluation and Continuing Formation
Study passage: James 3:1. Read the whole surrounding chapter before relying on this unit.
Teaching and interpretation
The New Testament warns that teachers bear significant responsibility. Program completion must therefore involve human judgment about interpretation, character, safety and actual service, not an automatic certificate triggered by five multiple-choice answers. Reflection continues after any course. Seek independent feedback, a community that can correct you, and ongoing education.
Pastoral case to discuss
A student scores perfectly but refuses safeguarding supervision and independent review. Would a credible program endorse them? Why not?
Describe the relevant facts and what you would still need to know. Do not present assumptions as the person's motives, diagnose a disorder or make unverified claims about Scripture.
Required practical exercise
Submit a final reflective statement and list the evidence a qualified reviewer should require before a ministry endorsement.
Support your answers with passages in context and distinguish biblical teaching, historical interpretation, modern professional standards and personal judgment. Keep real people's details confidential.
