Luke 6:13When daylight came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also designated as apostles:Luke 6:14Simon, whom He named Peter, and his brother Andrew; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew;Luke 6:15Matthew and Thomas; James son of Alphaeus and Simon called the Zealot;Luke 6:16Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.Luke 9:1Then Jesus called the Twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and power to cure diseases.Luke 9:2And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.Luke 9:3“Take nothing for the journey,” He told them, “no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no second tunic.Luke 9:4Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that area.Luke 9:5If anyone does not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that town, as a testimony against them.”Luke 9:44“Let these words sink into your ears: The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men.”Luke 9:45But they did not understand this statement. For one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”Acts 1:26Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias. So he was added to the eleven apostles.
