Exodus 17:1All the congregation of the children of Israel traveled from the wilderness of Sin, by their journeys, according to Yahweh’s commandment, and encamped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink.Exodus 17:2Therefore the people quarreled with Moses, and said, “Give us water to drink.” Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test Yahweh?”Exodus 17:3The people were thirsty for water there; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us, our children, and our livestock with thirst?”Exodus 17:4Moses cried to Yahweh, saying, “What shall I do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.”Exodus 17:5Yahweh said to Moses, “Walk on before the people, and take the elders of Israel with you, and take the rod in your hand with which you struck the Nile, and go.Exodus 17:6Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb. You shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.Exodus 17:7He called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because the children of Israel quarreled, and because they tested Yahweh, saying, “Is Yahweh among us, or not?”Leviticus 26:14“‘But if you will not listen to me, and will not do all these commandments;Leviticus 26:15and if you shall reject my statutes, and if your soul abhors my ordinances, so that you will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant;Leviticus 26:16I also will do this to you: I will appoint terror over you, even consumption and fever, that shall consume the eyes, and make the soul to pine away; and you will sow your seed in vain, for your enemies will eat it.Leviticus 26:17I will set my face against you, and you will be struck before your enemies. Even then the land will rest and enjoy its sabbaths.Leviticus 26:35As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, even the rest which it didn’t have in your sabbaths, when you lived on it.Leviticus 26:36“‘As for those of you who are left, I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies: and the sound of a driven leaf will put them to flight; and they shall flee, as one flees from the sword; and they will fall when no one pursues.Leviticus 26:37They will stumble over one another, as it were before the sword, when no one pursues: and you will have no power to stand before your enemies.Leviticus 26:38You will perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will eat you up.Leviticus 26:39Those of you who are left will pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.Leviticus 26:40“‘If they confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me, and also that, because they walked contrary to me,Leviticus 26:41I also walked contrary to them, and brought them into the land of their enemies: if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity;Leviticus 26:42then I will remember my covenant with Jacob; and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham; and I will remember the land.Numbers 14:43For there the Amalekite and the Canaanite are before you, and you shall fall by the sword: because you are turned back from following Yahweh, therefore Yahweh will not be with you.”Deuteronomy 4:9Only take heed to yourself, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes saw, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your children and your children’s children;Deuteronomy 4:25When you shall father children, and children’s children, and you shall have been long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make an engraved image in the form of anything, and shall do that which is evil in the sight of Yahweh your God, to provoke him to anger;Deuteronomy 4:26I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto you go over the Jordan to possess it; you shall not prolong your days on it, but shall utterly be destroyed.Deuteronomy 4:27Yahweh will scatter you among the peoples, and you shall be left few in number among the nations, where Yahweh shall lead you away.Deuteronomy 4:28There you shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.Deuteronomy 4:29But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you shall find him, when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.Deuteronomy 4:30When you are in oppression, and all these things have come on you, in the latter days you shall return to Yahweh your God, and listen to his voice:Deuteronomy 4:31for Yahweh your God is a merciful God; he will not fail you, neither destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.Deuteronomy 8:11Beware lest you forget Yahweh your God, in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you this day:Deuteronomy 8:12lest, when you have eaten and are full, and have built goodly houses, and lived therein;Deuteronomy 8:13and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied;Deuteronomy 8:14then your heart be lifted up, and you forget Yahweh your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;Deuteronomy 28:15But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you this day, that all these curses shall come on you, and overtake you.Deuteronomy 28:16You shall be cursed in the city, and you shall be cursed in the field.Deuteronomy 28:17Your basket and your kneading trough shall be cursed.Deuteronomy 28:18The fruit of your body, the fruit of your ground, the increase of your livestock, and the young of your flock shall be cursed.Deuteronomy 28:19You shall be cursed when you come in, and you shall be cursed when you go out.Deuteronomy 28:20Yahweh will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke, in all that you put your hand to do, until you are destroyed, and until you perish quickly; and they shall pursue you until you perish.Deuteronomy 28:23Your sky that is over your head shall be brass, and the earth that is under you shall be iron.Deuteronomy 28:24Yahweh will make the rain of your land powder and dust: from the sky shall it come down on you, until you are destroyed.Deuteronomy 28:25Yahweh will cause you to be struck before your enemies; you shall go out one way against them, and shall flee seven ways before them: and you shall be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth.
